About Charlie Liegus

An avid nature lover and outdoor enthusiast, Forester Charlie loves to hike Connecticut’s many trails. But he has to look no farther than across his own kitchen table to see why working in the field of “earth science” matters so much to him: the faces of his own children.

Charles earned a bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Management and Engineering specializing in forestry from the University of Connecticut. He continued his education in the field of soil sciences and wetlands identification at the University of Massachusetts. Charles is a member of the Society of American Foresters and the Connecticut Professional Timber Producers Association.

While the art of “blogging” is new to Charlie, the articles and posts he shares are his insights into what matters to him or the subjects that catch his trained eye.
